Thank you for your RSVP to the 2022 Trash and Tire Cleanup!  This is a big event and your help is appreciated.  During this year's cleanup we will remove trash and tires from a Kansas River sandbar adjacent to the riverbank near the Futamura property.  Volunteers will collect trash and/or dig the tires out of the sand and help load everything on to equipment provided by the Evergy Green Team and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers who will haul everything to dumpsters for disposal.

Lunch will be provided by the Topeka Rotary Club.

This event is not for young children or for adults who are not physically fit.  Volunteers must be able to walk long distances and dig or lift heavy tires or trash.  Children age 14 and up welcome with a parent or guardian.

An RSVP is required.  Please enter your information below.

Wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen and clothes that can get dirty.  Bring work gloves, water to drink, and a shovel or other tools that can be used to dig in the sand.  All volunteers will check in at the FOK tent in the Futamura parking lot, then you will be transported to the cleanup site by FOK and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers volunteers.
